Treatments

How Can We Help?

The last thing we want to do is make a bad situation worse. That’s why our most effective treatment methods for dealing with your acute or chronic pain are non-invasive, non-narcotic, and non-aggressive.

We utilize innovative techniques, high-quality equipment, and minimally invasive methods to pinpoint and treat the source of your pain. As a result, you can expect to receive your treatments on an outpatient basis, allowing you to return home where you’re most comfortable. Additionally, most patients experience only minor discomfort during treatment, and require little to no recovery time afterward.

Finally, we work with a strong network of medical and pain management professionals to ensure you get the most well-rounded care possible for your complex pain issues.

Treatment may include any of the following: (All treatments are Fluoroscopic or ultrasound guided)

What's the Best Treatment Plan for You?

At IPSW, we tailor your treatment plan to your specific needs, taking into account your medical history, past treatments that were either effective or ineffective, and the types of treatment options available, so that you can experience optimal results.

Types of Treatment

Because we believe in administering the least aggressive, most effective treatment for our patients, we design a treatment plan to effectively address your complex condition in a variety of ways:

Interventional Diagnosis and Treatment

Interventional treatment begins by identifying and pinpointing the source of your pain. As such, Dr. Brendel will use one or more of these innovative diagnostic techniques:

  • Diagnostic ultrasound examination (used to assist in the evaluation): Used to reveal damage or inflammation that cannot be captured on x-ray or discovered with a physical examination. Will help to understand best treatment options.
  • Diagnostic nerve blocks: Used to pinpoint the source of chronic pain, Nerve Blocks temporarily block the pain messages being sent to and from the brain, allowing diagnosis of which nerve or joint is damaged.
  • Diagnosis of sympathetic pain: Diagnostic blocks administered near sympathetic nerves helps determine the origin of pain.
  • Diagnostic discography: Careful injection into the afflicted disc to assess pain and identify specific areas of disc damage.

Comprehensive Pain Management Plan

As part of your comprehensive pain management plan, we collaborate with a variety of medical professionals. This multi-disciplinary approach ensures more effective and long-lasting outcomes for our patients.

As part of this process, we coordinate and monitor all treatments, even making appointments with various specialists, and completing necessary medical forms and other paperwork on your behalf.

Your customized treatment plan may include leading-edge medical treatment, rehabilitation, and work with mental health professionals.
